Family Sing and Story: seeds for the heart and mind
Song and story play a big part in the life the human being. Song brings a lightness and joy to the heart while stories bring heart and intellect together.
Family sing and story is a gathering together to share both multicultural music and stories. This event is modeled after the tradition called Satsang in Sanskrit. Satsang signifies keeping good company.
Family sing and story will take place four times a year, once for each turn of the seasons. This event will be fun for the whole family!
Family Sing and Story Rhythm:

a.Silence game

b.Songs: feel free to bring a song you might like to share that reflects the season of the year. Bring copies of the words so that other families may follow along.

c.Storytelling: In the tradition of days gone by, we will sit on our circle, light a candle and hear a multicultural/seasonal story that conveys a message of ancient wisdom.

d.Seasonal organic snack will be prepared by Tara and shared with all
